책소개

FROM COPERNICUS TO DARWIN, TO CURRENT-DAY THINKERS, SCIENTISTS HAVE ALWAYS PROMOTED THEORIES AND UNVEILED DISCOVERIES THAT CHALLENGE EVERYTHING SOCIETY HOLDS DEAR; IDEAS WITH BOTH POSITIVE AND DIRE CONSEQUENCES. MANY THOUGHTS THAT RESONATE TODAY ARE DANGEROUS NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE ASSUMED TO BE FALSE, BUT BECAUSE THEY MIGHT TURN OUT TO BE TRUE.

WHAT DO THE WORLD'S LEADING SCIENTISTS AND THINKERS CONSIDER TO BE THEIR MOST DANGEROUS IDEA? THROUGH THE LEADING ONLINE FORUM EDGE (WWW.EDGE.ORG), THE CALL WENT OUT, AND THIS COMPELLING AND EASILY DIGESTIBLE VOLUME COLLECTS THE ANSWERS. FROM USING MEDICATION TO PERMANENTLY ALTER OUR PERSONALITIES TO CONTEMPLATING A UNIVERSE IN WHICH WE ARE UTTERLY ALONE, TO THE IDEA THAT THE UNIVERSE MIGHT BE FUNDAMENTALLY INEXPLICABLE, WHAT IS YOUR DANGEROUS IDEA? TAKES AN UNFLINCHING LOOK AT THE DARING, BREATHTAKING, SOMETIMES TERRIFYING THOUGHTS THAT COULD FOREVER ALTER OUR WORLD AND THE WAY WE LIVE IN IT.

Patek Philippe's story

In 1839, Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek founded Patek, Czapek & C° in Geneva. At the 1844 Universal Exhibition in Paris, Antoine Norbert de Patek met Jean Adrien Philippe, inventor in 1842 of a pocket watch with stem winding and hand-setting, and offered him the post of technical director as soon as Czapek's contract ran out. In 1845, Patek Czapek & C° was dissolved, and Antoine Norbert de Patek, Jean Adrien Philippe and Vincent Gostowski founded, in Geneva, Patek & C°. In 1851, the three men changed the company's name to Patek Philippe & C°.

Moncler Grenoble Flash Mob @ Grand Central Station NYC!

Moncler Grenoble Flash Mob @ Grand Central Station NYC!
For apparel brand marketing, some comapies tried to flash mob. For flash mob, I would like to say this flash mob is the best event for me by now I have seen. It really make the "For a while".
I think flash mob have to be "Flash". In this timing a brand have to give many people impressive shock. After this event, people come back to their ordinary life. But brand have to locate in some people's mind as impressive brand.
So I always think flash mob have to host ordinary space. As you know, it's not easy.
But Moncler made suprised result in the Grand central station NYC. I think this is ideal flash mob!

Superdry(슈퍼드라이) Gangnam,Seoul Store Launching

Superdry(슈퍼드라이) Gangnam,Seoul Store Launching

At 2010 Winter I went to the second Superdry Flagship Store Launching Party in Gangnam, Seoul. When I visited there, I could count on some event for celebrating their new store. Especially they prepared 2010 FW collection.

This picture is a Gangnam, Seoul store. Surprisingly I could see a lot of people to celebrate them. Also I found one person who is a founder of Superdry.

They hosted their 2010 FW collection. I could understand their concept for 2010 FW. I thought it's not appropriate for Korea slightly. During waitng their show, they gave vising person a present which is a accessory as Superdry products like key holder or necklace. I wanna emphasis their product package. Present is packed in a can which is made from Superdry. This can indicates their logo.

It's a superdry's presentation to show their advertising. But I thought that it's not interesting because it's normal.

I picked up one picture to show their collection for men. I thought their boots, pants, and hoody are very vintage. As you know, their concept is vintage. So I think if some person of Korean wanna wear vintage concept, but wanna luxury vintage, someone can visit the Superdry store to buy something.
Plus, I thought this picture could show many thing about their brand.

Next, I could see women collection of Superdry. Frankly I didn't have interested in their women collection. Always I just herad their men's look as many mass media like blog, magazine and TV. Also I could know throughout some celebrities like Beckam. But I found out this women looks are very good for Korean. Many Korean women fashionista sometimes like vintage for their changing style. But as this brand is little expensive, I think just some people would like to buy this.

Before coming this party, I researched to know their brand accurately. During suffing on the internet, I found that this brand always take care of their VMD(Visual Merchandising) to show like London shop.
As you see this picture, it is very gorgeous. It really like Superdry concept and it's very unique.

Also this brand's lamps are very great.

Anyway I'm really curious how this brand try to launch in Korea. I think..... I couldn't know as many Korean fashion trend at 2011.... as you know.... Thank you.
